On Philosophy

We make generalizations and assumptions about why people behave the way they do. Especially when they neglect to behave the way we want them to. ⁣ ⁣ This often fails to help the other person, drowning them in a river of criticism, that if they manage to emerge from it, will only make them more resistant, stubborn and resentful. ⁣ ⁣ Yet, mostly we hurt ourselves. We willfully condition ourselves to be blind to any understanding of what motivates people, what they fear, what they want and how we can help them get it. ⁣ ⁣ It robs us of the key to influence that can not only enable us to positively impact others, but unlock the experience of life we most want to have ourselves.
